Lifetalks to Explore How the 2026 Budget Impacts Home Care in Malta
Healthmark has announced a special edition of its popular Lifetalks series, titled “How Does the Budget Affect Your Home Care?”, taking place on Thursday 11th November at 5pm at Healthmark Academy. The session is free and open to the public.
With the latest Budget introducing several measures affecting the cost and accessibility of home care, this discussion aims to help families, older adults, and caregivers better understand how these changes may influence their daily lives. From new subsidies and tax benefits to schemes supporting care at home, Healthmark’s experts will break down what’s new, what’s changing, and how people can make the most of available support.
“Home care is deeply personal, but it’s also shaped by national policy,” said Charlotte Sant Portanier, CEO of Healthmark. “Through Lifetalks, we want to bridge the gap between government measures and the real people who rely on them, ensuring that everyone has the knowledge to access quality care in their own home.”
The Lifetalks initiative was launched to create a safe, informative space for people to learn, share experiences, and connect around issues of health and caregiving. Previous sessions have tackled topics such as mental health, ageing with dignity, and the future of care work in Malta.
