What is Domiciliary Care?

Domiciliary Care is for anyone who wants to remain in the comfort of their own home living life on your own terms, safe in the knowledge that you have got the support and private care that you require.  Domiciliary care can be beneficial to people of all ages.  Every individual has their own unique set of support needs.

At Healthmark we deliver superior care by skilled home helpers, carers, phlebotomists and nurses in the comfort of your home, focussing on your dignity, independence, quality of life and emphasising a familial approach.  Whether you need assistance with activities of daily living, respite care, a little help at home to live independently, or 24/7 care, we can design a personalised Care Plan that meets your needs.  Every caregiver is expertly trained and backed by a dedicated team to ensure that you receive the care, support and attention that you need and deserve.

What We Can Offer Our Clients

Support from our Dedicated Carers

Our carers are trained to provide a wide range of bespoke care services to people with varying levels of needs and requirements in the convenience of your own home.  Our staff are rigorously trained, and receive ongoing training and supervision.  Your safety and well-being are paramount.  Contact us for a Free Assessment visit.  We will review your requirements and come up with a personalised care plan.  We can implement a new service within hours of your request.

Companionship and Personal Care

Companionship and Personal care is the support and supervision of daily personal living tasks and private hygiene, assistance with bathing and showering, along with dressing and maintaining your personal appearance.  Support can also include helping with meal preparation, laundry and bed changing.  Companionship and Personal Care allows you to enjoy discrete, sensitive and dignified personalised care to ensure that you are always getting the right support for your needs and wishes, whilst boosting your confidence and independence.  Companionship and Personal Care can range from a couple of hours per day to 24/7 care, and can extend to accompanying you for appointments, events and holidays to maintain the caring support that you require.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a broad term use to describe a range of progressive conditions that can affect the brain.  There are different types of dementia, and these usually affect the individual’s memory.  Domiciliary dementia care is about providing the support to individuals and their loved ones with the specific challenges presented by their dementia.  This support is provided so that the individual can carry on living in the comfortable and familiar environment of their own home.  Every case of dementia is unique and adapted as the needs change with the progression of the condition.  Our carers are trained to follow the routine of the individual living with dementia, ensuring that they are safe and that they maintain their independence as much as possible.  Support can be provided by a visiting carer or a live-in carer.

Emergency Care

Our emergency home care gives you additional essential support at short notice in the times you need it most.  Circumstances can suddenly change, meaning that you need home care at the drop of a hat. If you need last minute or emergency care let us know.  We will make sure you receive the comprehensive, person-centred care you need.  We can arrange for care from a private carer to start in as little as 12 hours of you getting in touch. In a crisis we can often turn this around even quicker.

Live-In Care

Live-in care involves a dedicated carer living in your home to provide 24/7 care and support with whatever is required.  A live-in carer can provide valuable companionship, as well as physical support.  A friendly live-in carer is ideal if your loved one is living with dementia and is unable to be left alone in their home, or if your loved on has severe physical needs and require constant personal aid around the home.  A live-in carer provides valuable companionship and a constant source of friendly, reliable support for the elderly who are living alone.

Overnight Care

Overnight care is when a carer stays overnight to assist with any care needs that one may have.  Care during the night is suitable for anyone in need of extra support overnight.  With overnight care, a private carer will stay with you throughout the night to provide personal care, reassurance, and companionship. Whatever your personal needs, your carer will be able to support and assist you so that you will maintain your independence, peace of mind and confidence at all hours, and having the reassurance that you can go to bed safe with the knowledge that help is available on site in the event of an emergency.

Respite Care

Respite care offers temporary support by trained carers to ensure that you are getting the support that you need whilst maintaining your independence and safety in the comfort of your own home.  It is ideal for when your regular caregiver needs a break, or if you require support on a short-term basis such as when you are discharged from hospital, when you are recovering from a surgery or after an accident.
